Puppet Parade

Time(s): 1:30 pm Saturday & Sunday

Present thyself at the Arts & Crafts Pavilion, where good folk of all ages may fashion a puppet of their own design—be it noble, knavish, or delightfully absurd! All manner of fine supplies await thee to craft a most wonderous, whimsical masterpiece.

Then, at half past the first hour (1:30 pm) each day, gather for the Puppet Parade, a joyous procession through the Faire to show off your work!

All ages are welcome to join this cheerful cavalcade of creativity!

Rhyming Contest

Time(s): 3 pm Saturday & Sunday Mollusk Stage

In the grand tradition of Fezzik and Inigo Montoya, step forth and test thy rhyming prowess in a contest of clever verse and quick tongues!

Face off in good humor with thy finest couplets, quips, and rhymed retorts. Impress the crowd and our judges alike, and thou may walk away with a most worthy prize — and eternal glory (or at least a hearty cheer)!

The Princess Bride Live Show

Time(s): Mallard Stage at 11:30 pm, 12:30 pm, Mollusk Stage at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm

The OSRF cast, with the help of Black Cat Historical Fencing, brings you some of your favorite scenes from The Princess Bride! With exciting sword fights and scathing battles of wits, immerse yourself in the story you know and love.

11:30 am: Opening Scene

12:30 pm: Cliffs of Insanity Sword Fight & Battle of Wits with Vizzini

2:30 pm: Miracle Max & Rhyming with Fezzik followed by the aforementioned Rhyming Contest

4:30 pm: “Hello, My Name Is Inigo Montoya” Sword Fight, “To The Pain”, and Closing Scene

Mermaid Story Telling

The sea holds magical secrets that only creatures of that realm can tell. Join us for Mermaid Storytelling to enjoy enchanted and fantastical tales from the watery depths that will delight one and all.

This siren of story beckons young and old alike to sit, listen, and dream of life on the seas!

Dog Adoption

Time(s): 11 am - 2:30 pm

On Saturday only, noble companions from Save One Soul Animal Rescue shall grace our grounds in search of forever homes fit for heroes!

Whether thou art a valiant knight, a merry minstrel, or a gentle squire, come meet these loyal hounds and see if thy heart be matched with a faithful friend. For what is a quest without a trusty companion by thy side?

Adopt, and let the tale of thy friendship begin!

Goat Cuddles

Make haste to meet the most noble goats of the realm, brought forth by the good folk of K&B Goat Parties!

These gentle creatures await thy affection—cuddle, pet, and befriend them as thou wouldst a trusty steed or royal companion. Perfect for young squires, old souls, and all who seek joy of the barnyard sort.

Make haste, ‘tis not every day one may snuggle a goat at a Renaissance Faire!

Costume Contest

Don your most glorious garb before our most discerning panel of judges, who doth seek the boldest, brightest, and most beauteous attire in all the land!

Prizes for the winners of three categories:

Maypole

Join hands, take a ribbon, and weave your way around the maypole in a joyful celebration of community and festivity! This age-old tradition invites merrymakers of all ages to join the revelry.
